Family-Friendly Camping This Spring
Visit Grizzly Creek Ranch for an unforgettable, action-packed weekend at Family Camp.
"Especially with what’s going on in the world, the kids need to get off their tablets, away from their phones and the TV and get outdoors."
Jade Wallace, mom of three boys and past family camper

Sierra Nevada Journeys is hosting Family Camps at Grizzly Creek Ranch located in Portola, California, just 50 minutes north of Reno. You won't regret the quality time as a family and we make it easy for you as all of the meals are included and organized camp activities are led by our instructors. Choose from four different weekends with the first camp happening on March 19, 2021. Your family or “pandemic pod” will have exclusive use of a cabin (sleeps up to 12 people) for an action-packed weekend outdoors.

Your days will be filled with organized camp activities led by our Outdoor Program Instructors. Enjoy snowshoeing, sledding or cross-country skiing (pending snow conditions) during the early spring camps. Join a guided hike, go kayaking or learn archery once the weather warms up. Also, enjoy time playing basketball or gaga ball with your kids on our various ball courts or group games on the lawn. It is a stress-free way to camp with all your meals included. There will be picnic lunches, barbecue cookouts and s'more by the camp fire.

“Family Camp was a great experience," says Jade Wallace, past Family Camp participant. "Grizzly Creek Ranch is beautiful. There are so many different things that we’ve never tried like archery and gaga ball. We’re learning different and exciting things that we’ve never done before. I have three boys so it’s very important for them to get outside and spend time together as a family,"
